In this 1 day training, you will learn how to create an adjustable table model using top down design and several other tools like sheet metal and weldment. You will also create a drawing of the exploded assembly with BOM information. At the end of the training, you will understand top down design and how to apply it. You will also learn advanced skills using sheet metal and weldment tools to create and design complex model.


Course Outline

  • Case Study: Projector Table.
    • Learn how to build an equipment (Projector Table) in ONE(1) days.
  • Lesson 1: Part Modeling – Base Frame
    • Create the first components of the Projector Table
    • Exploring the basics, intermediate and advanced skills in SOLIDWORKS CAD modelling for the most suitable and effective way of converting your idea to 3D.
  • Lesson 2: Top Down Modeling – Cylinder
    • Learn how to create an intelligent model that updates with minimum input in SOLIDWORKS.
    • Understanding how SOLIDWORKS parametric associate between parts and assembly.
  • Lesson 3: Assembly Modeling
    • Practice creation of assembly.
    • Reiterate the ideas of assembly feature such as mating, patterning, toolbox components
  • Lesson 4: Exploded View
    • Exploded view presents your Projector Table following the sequence of assembly steps.
    • Exporting in animation format to share with your customer, suppliers and fabrication floors.
  • Lesson 5: Assembly Drawing & BOM
    • Complete the project with the assembly drawing with detail Bill of Material in SOLIDWORKS.
